What is Plogging?

Plogging is a combination of walking, jogging or running with picking up litter.

It started as an organised activity in Sweden around 2016 and spread to other countries in 2018, following increased concern about plastic pollution.

Plogging is a portmanteau (blending of sounds) of jogging and the Swedish phrase 'plocka upp,' meaning pick up.
